Yeah, as I understand it took several billion dollars and 50 years of concerted effort to make sure the majority of Americans just don't hear it in their information ecosystem.

What age do you teach? I ask because my 9 and 11 have no clue because right now, trying to explain the end of the world to them, would likely end with a Goebbels like end. Cognitive dissonance for the win.
