Don't mean to jump in, but they don't get to keep the X-33s issued them from NASA, so they bring their own to have as space-flight mementos/heirlooms - particularly the Moonwatch. Don't know how you could go without bringing your own, ha.

The Omega museum in Switzerland has an exhibit about the moon landing. Notice the watch on the outside of the suit. ๐Ÿ˜€

Since the start of Gemini, NASA has only ever issued two watches to astronauts.

Since 1998, they get the Omega Speedmaster X-33. This is a "analog-digital" very accurate quartz watch with a number of advanced timing features.

You can see them on long straps outside their orange suits.

Before 1998, It was the Omega Speedmaster Professional, a mechanical wind-up watch that wasn't developed for space travel but turns out to be very robust over large changes in temperature, G-forces, and in the vacuum of space!

Yes but more of a 3 digit watch guy, not a 4 digit watch guy

I think one of them might be a medical sensor. I see it on 3 of them and it doesn't have a screen or watchface. The 4 probably has it on their right arm which is out of view.
