No, the Nazis were pretty much that dumb. Mein Kampf is like if someone was repeatedly hit over the head with a hammer, then given a pen and told they would be paid 100 marks for every negative mention of jewish people.

Don't forget the pogroms against Jews were incited by many rulers across the Europe and centuries quite regularly, to distract population from problems or to confiscate Jewish valuables. The Nazis were mostly not dumb, it was not just one stupid book what made them committing crimes.

I did my MA in holocaust studies, just because people were also dumb as pigshit before, doesn't make the nazis less dumb

This is true. The only real difference between then and now is the speed at which information can spread. If the internet had been around in the 1930, the Nazi's would have been stopped a LOT sooner.
