I would also suggest that if your payment provider is through your bank like mine is, call your bank and lodge a complaint to get them to talk to the payment provider. They have more bargaining power and might be easier to pressure.

Absolutely contacting banks is huge too!

I just don't have a meaningful way to add that to the doc unfortunately as there are SO many banks and unlike the US representatives there isn't a directory 😅
