There's nothing civil about refusing to address someone as they want to be addressed and claiming they're "delusional" for that request (as if they had asked to be addressed as "Your Holiness" or something really outlandish).

You can't deny respect and then DEMAND it.

I mean you also are asking someone to be 'civil' about these outcomes:
1. One side adjusts speech slightly and cannot assume things based on appearance when interacting with 0.6% of the population
2. The other side loses all validity of existence and is legally open for torment and mistreatment

I had 7 years working with Maga and here's what they say about this I've asked a similar question:

"If you're gonna decide to be trans you have to expect some bullying. Like you just agree to that."

Followed by, "well it's not transphobia you all just deserve it. Doesn't mean I hate you."

So when I said "there's 200 new laws against trans people. None against Republicans. How are you more oppressed?"

They said "no there's not that's fake news."

We looked it up and they said, "well those don't count because those are all good laws!"

So it's not oppression if you deserve it.

Genuinely, I feel the same shit every time someone wants to sit there and tell me the "you're broken" line of bullshit on autism and vaccines.

It's gotten to the point where on the very tip of my tongue, and I try very hard to bottle this up, is the most toxic 2 word response I could possibly give.
