I remember the main problem with spell check was that people didn't use it. "Spell Check is RIGHT THERE and y'all still turned in typos" said by every teacher in grade school in the 90s and 2000s

My students use it. That’s why I get defiantly when they mean definitely. They just click on the first option. I’ve seen them do it. Sigh.

Yeah, but it was funny reading student papers that misspelled "angel" when discussing he supernatural character in Edward Albee's The Zoo Story; they ended up referring to the "angle of death."
