I didn't hear anything said re: "we don't want you to talk about queer people" & I'd say it's more abt the CONSTANT barrage of right-wing propaganda that influences some automatic response than not understanding some phrases. The right has PERFECTLY ORCHESTRATED the offputting "elitist" perceptions.
