Absolutely. Folks will take some pleasure in this, and it’s understandable in a schadenfreude sort of way, but that this execrable person wasn’t terrible enough for Trump is not good news.

Judge Cannon would be an ideal replacement--but she'd refuse to give up her seat....🥵

His original pick was Matt Gaetz so he’s capable of plumbing the depths of the Marianas Trench with this one. His ideal lawyer is Roy Fucking Cohn.

You’re not wrong generally, but the Gaetz situation is one where the conspiracy theory explanation is probably true. His chance of confirmation was 0, but nominating him got him out of his House seat quickly enough to prevent the release of the investigation showing that he raped teenagers

What is comforting is that the persons who are terrible enough are likely to be far more incompetent

People need to stop getting excited when people like Bondi or Noem are “fired”. He does it either because A:) It will temporarily placate the opposition. He really doesn’t care about the person fired. So no big deal. Or B:) He’s bored

Another piece of human garbage (see Mullin) will replace her

Cheer up. A new pick will have to be confirmed by the Senate. There's no way they would confirm an incompetent and/or evil person for a Cabinet position, right?

It's good news because it makes it more likely he forgets to pardon her.

It might be good news, if Trump's willingness to let the perfect (by his standards) be the enemy of the good (by his standards) causes him to replace Bondi with someone who could do more harm somewhere else, like Judge Cannon or a congressional Republican, for instance. Plus general disarray helps.

I doubt the Senate Republicans will fight back on any other unqualified hack he nominates. I mean they confirmed Markwayne Mullin to head the Department of Homeland Security.
