Sorry I cannot alt-text this one. Here's the link. Pretty remarkable.

"Americans express the least amount of confidence in Trump to act ethically in office. Just 21% are
extremely or very confident he does this, while 60% express little or no confidence."

"While overall confidence in Trump’s ethics in office was
already relatively low last February (29%), it has
declined 8 percentage points since. And nearly all of that drop has come among Republicans: At the beginning of Trump’s second term, a 55%...now stands at 42%"

Utterly wild to me that some subset of Republican voters will say “he doesn’t care about democracy” but still support him. Those people are dangerous.

That schtick “ a republic not a democracy “ was meant to justify exactly that 🫩

And this pos still has a cult following who love his every move. Hate and fear are powerful motivators.

and yet MAGA: "He's doing pretty good on most things! Sure, he runs some deals on the side and he can be a bastard, but he's our bastard! Trump 2028!" Our country is fundamentally broken, and has been for quite some time

That last one! They support him even though he is unethical in office? 😦

ok, let's say Trump becomes incapable of performing the duties of office (too late I know, but stay with me) and Vance replaces him. Do these numbers go up? or down?

I'm waiting for Trump to dip below 50% with Republicans. So far he's only underwater on ethics.

If he gets to < 50% for more of the other metrics, more elected R's will shift positions, especially those facing primaries. I'm hoping for more push back from Congress sooner rather than later.

While Trump backs his primary candidates, I hope the D primary candidates, whatever the outcome, use their platform to keep undermining Trump's support.

The number of people who identify as republican has gone down a little. So his decline among those who identified as republican in the earlier poll is more than it appears.

Wow -- he's underwater with Republicans on ethics! That suggests a good target for Dems. Which I've been saying ever since I had a discussion with a pro Trump neighbor and saw the only argument she had no answer for was the corruption issue. People get it and it really bothers them.

Funny how Republicans’ two biggest gripes with him are corruption and scheming viziers

OUCH! That's gotta sting a bit.... (Wonder if the President's handlers will even let him see these results.)

Independents are not surveyed above. The gray line represents total %, not independents. (Which is even worse news for Trump.)
