He invented a parable that had an "Eskimo" with two fighting dogs and it was way less flattering than the story has since become.

It's one of a number of stories that has been attributed to native Americans that doesn't actually seem to come from them but the funny thing is, it must resonate because we keep telling it and not only that sometimes you will see native people post it
