On the M11 late Wednesday evening, the alert boards were saying “40mph – Workforce in road”. I slowed down (probably only to 50mph, if I’m totally honest), but it was very clear that the majority plain ignored it, still going 80+mph, even with road workers ahead in the dark. People just don’t care.
