That’s ideal, but we live in a very gendered world. Masculinity is a pervasive and successful social construct, in almost all cultures.

Yes! But gendered and fat shame seem to the last problematic beliefs we won’t examine, pretend are just How Things Are. So I’d argue meantime we work toward but recognize.
