Don't get me wrong though. It was nice. I had so many eggs, and my wife had raised them before so we knew what was up.

But when we moved, we couldn't keep them, so we gave them a good home with someone who already had a bunch.

Yes and I love that. I have seen, in my little town, people totally ill equipped to care for them and I ended up buying them food and trying to keep them safe from predators as they roamed all over the neighborhood. It was so sad as they were a lovely little flock.😢

We had issues with rats under the coop. But we let them free range only under our supervision because we had cats around the neighborhood.
If someone who hasn't done it sees this, get coffee grounds for the run. Mix it with the dirt or substrate and it will cut down on the smell. Just dry it first
