Not all successful games are good, not all games that fail are bad.

The vast majority of games that make bank are regurgitated piles of shit like FIFA & Madden.

Some games are heavily propped up & supported by the industry itself to force the illusion of success.

Success for shareholders vs devs.

Very different metrics of success and it's always better to approach things with nuance.

Also, it's okay for games to be bad. Flawed art is the best kind of art imo. Who cares if your fave game is held together by duct tape and dreams and a pineapple under the map?
