Backpay doesn't happen - they switch monetisation off completely and claim there is "no way to track it" while they happily run ads on it themselves.

Guilty until proven innocent seems to be the way they handle things at YT, unfortunately. I suppose for the genuine offenders it's better for all but for the creators who work hard and follow the rules it's draconian.
