mta unions have made habit of arguing that a number of global standard practices on even safer railroads constitute understaffing and safety hazards. (as they are right now with one person train op. on CBTO lines & on the not yet built IBX).

public skepticism is well-earned.

Yeah, it'd be a lot easier to be on the side of MTA unions here if they weren't in the process right now of trying to get the legislature to mandate two drivers per drain, which pretty much nowhere else on earth does.
