I just think this version is so weird and great. Apparently, Gary played in a Midwest organ bar for years and decided to record some songs 'just for friends'. 🫠

As you say, charming. I recognise the effects from Sparky's Magic Piano but the organ has a wonderful analogue warmth to it, so I'm guessing that was pretty old at the time, too.
