Was there a word that was removed between corps and center, or does someone really not understand text layout

My guess that it was to frame whatever it was that got got filled in with those white bricks. They really should have fixed it when that space went away.

It would have been “community” - I grew up in a Salvation Army family and they were always called corps and/or community centers, never corps centers. Unsure if the lettering here has been removed irl or just digitally
