I feel like if fertility rates are a concern then they should be focused on people in their 20’s and 30’s rather than teenagers. People who are in a place in life where they can afford to take care of another human life.

I don't disagree tbh, the reduction in teenage pregnancys across the western wold has been a huge positive but Fox news needs something to scare people with, while pushing a conservative world view, so I have to assume thats why they focus on it. Im not sure how conservative it is but 🤷

Giving it a bit more thought, I guess the implication is that it's good for teenage girls to get pregnant as the man will be the "provider" anyway, and said man "can/should" be much older then the girl. The women's place in life doesn't matter that much to them, she is just a baby factory.
