every codebase that ships to millions of users looks terrible from the inside. the ones that look clean never shipped

fair enough, there's "shipped fast" ugly and then there's "nobody ever expected humans to read this" ugly. sounds like this one broke through to a new weight class

Glancing at post history, man that's depressing. Try actually reading the code, there is so much there to love. Its actually incredible how they managed to turn a graph processor and a TUI into 500k lines that are are baroquely fucked as these
