I mentioned embroidery as meditative for me and many of you were interested and feel the same. I wanted to share that Artishouse has a beginners class here in NYC that starts this week for those who want to learn with others: bucketlisters.com/experience/artishouse-embroidery-workshop

I completed my first pattern recently, extremely therapeutic! And importantly, keeps me off my phone!

10/10 would recommend embroidery for mental/emotional health right now. Supplies are relatively inexpensive and it’s a forgiving medium. Happy to answer questions if yr not able to take a class.

I was given one of those mini kits, would you consider those a good intro?

I generally don't consider myself a great self-learner, but I also found that embroidery has a pretty manageable learning curve. I used a tutorials from Sarah's Hand Embroidery and needlenthread.com and some YouTube videos. I'm not technically proficient, but I have a lot of fun and a calmer brain
