Reminds me how in the german version of one of the Warcraft games, they translated "Grunt" as "Grunzer". That is, "Grunter", "One who grunts"

...and in some classes, above a certain level there could be only one, and to advance you had to defeat the guy above you. Monks and Assassins, I think.
