I just finished it-- the piece is great for propping up the world of the setting. I was wondering if I'd struggle with keeping up with the political climate and intrigue of WATERHEAD because I'm a little slower at picking up on that kind of thing, but it's actually very clear. Generally speaking--

--my worries for the setting and series taking an alien turn that I'd have trouble understanding or connecting with have basically been assuaged. I love Ida, I love the way she motivates herself, the ways she's struggling outside the all-consuming circumstances, and all of her gay (and heterophile)-
