They have used standardised 22 inch Dachshunds, so still based firmly in Imperial. Thought the USA was strictly "no kings"?

Given the difficulty in getting lots of wee dogs to lie still and not get up to back pointlessly at anything, not sure they will catch on as a unit of empirical measurement.
