I get ya, but to me the problem is less about us curating our feeds and more about how people take advantage of social media and many believe them. A negative post to you may be “enlightened” for another who is probably not paying attention.

Oh, yeah, that's so true.

Which is why I curate my broadcast posts to try to be positive, even if rarer.

I also make sure to focus on using like on original posts (tho also replies) so that my effect on 'popular with friends' and other sort-by-likes is beneficial.

Good point. Our engagement pushes those positive posts.
