Babies too young to be vaccinated who catch measles are also the ones most likely to die slowly and horribly years later of SSPE.

Which is why, as the cases of SSPE rise in the future, people should not rush to blame the parents of the dying children.

i kept my infants away from public places until they were vaccinated for measles around 12 months. Tough to do. Impossible for some I know. I get so angry when other peoples wishes cancel out mine.
