It occurs to me Steve Costigan, a merchant marine adventurer, has perfect potential for a blend of Indiana Jones, Remo Williams, and Popeye.
A pulp action hero with a touch of humor.

Seamen are (or were?) such powerful story characters. I missed them much yet they are forever ingrained in my heart as a source of adventure, joy and even tragedy.
