No one in America seems to care..

I’m out protesting. I donate to orgs that are taking legal action. I donate to other orgs out the fighting the good fight. I talk to people to get the truth out. I write/call my reps to tell them what I want them to vote/do and thank them for their efforts. What are you doing?

The inherent optimism of the US works against it. Anytime I try to describe how utterly disastrous this is, even in online forums you'd think would be sympathetic I get accussed of "dooming" with the memorable line of "go to bluesky if you want to doom" being used

The only problem for most people, is that they cannot afford to miss work.

The prices of everything has caused people to get a second, or even third job.
