What confuses me is when I was young my uncle was an anti-Semite, always anti-Jewish and now as an MAGAt, he wants to defend Israel against the Palestinians. They are so dumb they can’t figure out who to hate.

Because it's not about the Jews, it's about the Christian end-times death cult not wanting to be left out of Armageddon. Like literally, explicitly that. Look into The Family in the 80s and 90s, an evangelical group with a huge amount of influence on American (and Western) politics.
