Ive read somewhere American cops training is like half of the time the Polish cops are trained. And the Polish cops are actually sent to cop school, where they live for 6 months. Then given some very basic duties and work up from there. Not sent to run around with guns.

👍It seems clear that many/most US police qualify via what are effectively apprenticeship schemes that will inevitably encourage conformity with existing norms and attitudes (even before recruits face any toxic in-service 'peer pressure').

A recipe for hindering institutional change. 😬
