Enshittification always comes from greed. If this site doesnโ€™t grow, it will fade away. There is a happy balance, Twitter was actually good for many years.

I hear you. I brought up the same point earlier in the day - social media needs investment to thrive. Unfortunately its the same that often ends up killing whatever is good about social media in the first place.
