A palm oil firm has cleared more than 7,500 acres of forest inside a UNESCO biosphere reserve in Indonesian Borneo, threatening areas identified as orangutan habitat.

I went to Borneo in the early 1990's and, I was amazed by the forest cover and the amount of wildlife! I saw a BBC programme about the Probocius monkey on the river I camped along, now there's just a few metres of forest along the river - the rest has been clear for palm plantation! 🌴🌴🌴😠
