Israel either thought (if it has any strategic thinkers left at all) that Iran would lay down its weapons for a ceasefire then refuse to pick them back up when Lebanon was turned into an orgy of blood, or is so deep in its eschatological bullshit that it wants total war on as many fronts as possible
