If you liked this you might like Shoebox zoo, it was meant to be for kids but had a lovely magical feel.
It's old but I'm sure you could find the dvd somewhere.

There's obviously a lot of symbolism in Small Prophets but I've just heard mention that Saint Nicholas, who Michael is mistaken for shortly after the screenshot above, is the patron saint of (repentant) thieves. Which, given what happens, feels apt.

Wish I knew the meaning behind more of it.
