Funny story I have been reading Hegel’s “The Novel in 17th Century China” and a lot of high-literary Ming Dynasty satirical erotica (Plum in Golden Vase, Prayer Mat of Flesh) & the translations work hard so to speak & the euphemisms as translated are amazing
