We’ll update our citywide growth framework & end exclusionary zoning:

- More density along corridors
- Gentle density in single-family neighborhoods near transit (duplexes, townhomes, starter homes)
- New high-rise zones for union-built housing + easy office conversions

yes! ...but please bear in mind that corridors are the loudest and least healthy places to live - I hope we will try to spread more density to adjacent blocks as well! A city where rentals and owners are less segregated would also be welcome!

For density to work, you need functioning transit that is better than driving. That means (at least):

- enforcing fares to reduce anti-social behavior

- giving light rail signal priority (if not full seperation)

- telling people upset about a tunnel hundreds of feed below their home to fuck off

We will restore the path to homeownership & enable family-sized units

- Legalize starter small-lot homes
- Allow ADUs to be sold separately
- Support condo liability reform & single stair construction

Yes!! Also elevator reform!!

Smaller, cheaper elevators instead of NO elevators bc they cost 3x in USA vs Europe

At the same time, affordability depends on stability.

Nearly two-thirds of Angelenos rent and many are one financial shock away from losing their home.

When tenants are pushed out, rents reset higher and communities - disproportionately communities of color - are disrupted.
