When homes are scarce, rents rise. The result: LA is the most rent burdened big city in America.

Chart 1 says "CSA or MSA", so since "SJ/SF" (a CSA) is one point, I'd assume the 5-county LA CSA is what they're using.

Chart 2 doesn't cite a data source, but based on which cities are included (Jacksonville; Dallas and Fort Worth separately), that looks like city limits.

Instead of responding with urgency, the city’s leadership has done the opposite:

-Suing to block 100% affordable housing 
-Leaving fully-built homes with no power for months
-Fighting efforts from the state to add more housing

In Los Angeles, it is easier to stop housing than to build it. That has to change. We must create a culture of yes to new housing: affordable housing, market-rate housing, social housing, and shelters.
