This was my first pinned post here and one of the first posts I was kind of happy about. Right when I started actually using this place.

Anyone else making decisions about you is a violation of your Human Rights

In political/moral debate, which is about all we do 'here' in this city of the mind, I am generally uninterested in what is between your legs, only what is between your ears and how you use it

I just want play devil's advocate: my belief in God wasn't forced on me. I *CHOSE* to believe, and I know many others who have chosen to believe to. I don't profess to speak on behalf of God, but I know in my heart my own experiences of God and how he accepts me. That is why I choose to believe.

I tell my story of my experiences. That is what scripture is. That is what Theology is. I don't evangelize or manipulate people into believing my Theology. My work is meant to proclaim my experience, and give people the tools to figure out their own story.

I like those moments in the midst of a conversation when I say something in the moment that really crystalizes, to my eye, what I Want To Say. More than paragraphs I have spent hours over.

I am gonna use it as a theme for this pinned thread and tack some more of these moments in here.

If there is anything I really believe about human nature it is the power of the Hundredth Monkey. That ideas take life of their own.

Adding to the collection on this Juneteenth

More of us White Folks need to internalize this and let it help shape our thinking

Honoring one's ancestors is good, when appropriate

Rebuking evil is always appropriate, even if it's one's ancestor who is evil
