The only problem with this is, and its something I ran into personally when I putting myself through school and doing freelance design work, the company I worked for asked/expected me to do design work for them on the clock and I was like hell fuckin no. It created a ton of static in the workplace.

but then they would have to pay them to make art on-the-clock and they can’t have that! that’s not /real/ work! 🙄

unfortunately local/small businesses are often just as bad at treating their workers as disposable because business owners tend to all have the same late-stage capitalist brain worms regardless of company size. 🫩
