neat! gosh the lensing effect and the accretion model look so much like SpaceEngine's. Direct inspo or coincidence?

I'd say coincidence, but I guess lensing will always look really similar (it's gradual refraction) , and the accretion disk is a plane with a swirly noise on it (that is surprisingly effective!) 😀
