Really, it doesn’t make you want to be there. ^^' The last time I went to the pharmacy to take my treatments and just had to present my health card, I felt my chance to be in a country with social security. (And the visit to the doctor cost me 9€.)

I don't even try to use insurance for my meds anymore. Every time, they demand my doctor do a "prior authorization," a bunch of paperwork to prove I need the meds. It can take 2 weeks to finish.
And I can only get 30 day bottles 2 days before it runs out, because the meds are addictive to some.

But paying for the meds without insurance is cheaper than using insurance.
Yeah, my share of the bill insurance requires I pay is larger than the cost of the meds. Insurance negotiates for higher prices.
