Fascism has always, to an extent, been about self-pitying and grievance politics. Hell, *the* classic fascist book, Mein Kampf, is literally just Hitler complaining about how unfair things were for him, and why it was everyone else's fault that his life sucked.

Exactly so. “Emotionally dysregulated toddler man ranting about how his life of fuck ups are everyone else’s fault” was too long for a title esp in German.

Funnily enough one of the main reasons FDR was ahead of public opinion and political consensus in being anti-Nazi was because early on he actually read Mein Kampf in the original German (instead of the considerably sanitized translations that were current) and had the same conclusion.
