I think making art is very difficult because often it just looks bad for a lot of the process, but then it magically comes together so suddenly and this thing that you hated looks beautiful

you have to believe in the piece itself even when it is difficult, and you should believe in yourself too

i been programming art tool menus for several months now!! it still isnt much to look at, but this is shaping up to be a really gud rhythm game map editor

yesterday (after day job (ughh...)) i was fixing up a menu that allows you to choose a cursor type (painting, selecting, moving the selection, etc). it is trickier because in VR you have two paws, and they can have independent functions.

honestly same for writing. i'll work on something for a while, feel like it's shit the entire time, and then i give it a final proofread near the end and i'm like,,, damb i cooked w this one lol.

Oh my gosh yeah, I feel that so bad!! Especially when Iā€™m doing traditional acrylic stuff I have to repeatedly remind myself to trust the process haha..
