Seven countries now use renewable energy for 100% of their electricity

Recent data has shown that in 2022, countries including Albania, Paraguay, Ethiopia & Nepal produced more than 99.7% of the electricity they consumed using geothermal, hydro,

Iceland is the undisputed global leader in renewable electricity. Thanks to its volcanic geology and abundant rivers, the country generates approximately 73% of its electricity from hydropower and 27% from geothermal sources.

And America is being left behind as they are buying Chinese panels

No. Itโ€™s the USians that are being left behind (not to mention turning the clock back on human rights). Canada and Mexico (also part of America) have new green deals in place and active.

And that's not even 7% of countries. Let's go!

Canada could achieve this quite easily. We already get around 80% of our electricity from non-GHG sources. If it wasnโ€™t for AB and SK being in bed with the fossil fuel industry we could be much higher than 80%.

Thatโ€™s great! Now stop importing and exporting gas and oil.

Yes, it's just a matter of time. Fossil fuels are being replaced faster and faster, especially now that Trump made them much more expensive.

Trump has been the biggest accidental advocate of renewables in the history of the world!

Next, we need to start seeing countries who use 80%+ electricity as their energy source.

If Biden was president we would be very proud. He invested in solar and the orange convict was bought by oil tycoons.

Solar panels should not be all in one location to avoid climate rampage.

I have 6 small solar panels and 2000 A/Hrs of storage. I do use some electricity from big Corp., that only costs me 600$ a year compared to 200$ monthly before. In two years the solar set up if fully paid for through money save from paying the electric company.

Having locally sourced rather than mass produced power is like buying from the farmerโ€™s market instead of the grocery store.
No delivery charges & youโ€™re reducing demand on pipeline not allocated to big business that is driving up prices.

Does Big Corp charge You fees to have that system? I've heard they do, & it makes it hard to get ahead.

we need a solution for apartment buildings the roof rn is the only option and residents wonโ€™t be allowed to hook up panels and there isnโ€™t enough room anyway

I find it very interesting for third world countries as growth is very much linked to power usage. The more accessible power is the more productive people become and the more society expands to use it.

But, but, Cherylโ€ฆโ€ฆ coal!

I understand that Hillary is a neo-con. She did have a plan to provide renewable energy training to the U.S. coal counties.

Same here in Germany and the person helping to abandon solar and wind industry more than 10 years ago is now economics minister and again abandoning renewables.

Canada is at 79% in 2025, but after 2026-2027 you will see that number jump with all the wind and solar projects being built over the next 2 years

The US state I live in gets over half its electricity from renewables. A quarter of energy in the US comes from renewables.

This isn't just the future of energy. It's the way to eliminate oil supply being one of the primary drivers of world conflict.

German here. We have solar panels on our roof and battery storage. Even on overcast days, this is how we get 100 percent of our electricity. Most of the time, we even generate a surplus! Never would have thought it works so well. Next, we will get a heat pump.

Except in winter, when solar output is typical very low.

For a balcony PV set during October to February the average output is below 20 kWh/month, whereas in the summer it's more than 90kWh to 108kWh/month.

But I'll install that on the roof of a garden hut, in the moment it's on a garage.
