So, so good. My dyslexic kid read it in 7th grade and then watched the movie. It's still a favorite of his!!

I saw the movie in theatres and was permanently traumatised in the best possible way

I remember someone in my house putting it in the VCR and leaving me to watch when I was like 4 or 5. Legit one of my earliest memories and I was horrified. Later watched it again as an adult and it’s now one of my favorite animated films
