As I said many common many times over the past 25 years: the social media platform that grows, is the social media platform where young Black women feel safe to create.

Attempting to understand social media trends without understanding the lense of US racism deeply, leads to incomplete analysis.

Seems to me that attempting to understand any kind of social trend - online or off - in the US that doesn't incorporate the US "baked in the pie" pervasive racism is going to be incomplete analysis. I mean, it's everywhere and in everything and aimed in all directions.

Yep, if you're not including baked-in racism in an analysis of the USA, the USA is not really being analyzed.

Yup. Even as a ✋🏻, young Black women on TikTok are a huge motivation for my increased presence.

Correlation is not causation... but explicit causation is causation, so maybe this "analysis" should consider that
