my bill for a month is around $125 for Food. I eat twice a day with a snack around mid day. I am in my late 70's and my VA doctor is happy with my well being. I do Not eat Fancy. IT IS TRUE 😁

I eat very plain and simple, most people probably would turn up their nose at my menu selections. The are that you live has a large bearing on cost. No Beef, ground or otherwise. Chicken and pork, which here runs about $2 a #. Grains for breakfast, oatmeal/gritz with some times an egg or a sausage

Older people eat less and if they’re retired have time to shop and cook daily

I believe you. If you are making meals from just supermarket ingredients it's possible. People now seem to think 'feed' means ordering food.

I work somewhere around 60 hours a week doing physical work outside, sometimes more. I need more calories than a 70 year old retired person. I live in a studio apartment with a tiny fridge. There’s no place to put Costco sized things that would save money. Everybody is different
