- CE from mammets gets divided out, and with your entire alliance there, less CE for you overall

like i'm serious, they describe martian power armor as servo motor'd Samus Aran type shit. Bobby was near unrecognizable in it until she spoke through its booming speakers. Talks about how people untrained could break their limbs trying to use it.

starting season 2 tho and man they did bobby dirty. i mean her power armor looks flimsy as hell. just plastic bits flailing about in the first 5 minutes. underwhelming compared to how it's described in the book.

or how holden in the TV show felt forced to transmit his findings to the solar system to protect the safety of his crew, when in the book he transmitted his findings because he felt a strong, maybe misguided, sense of justice. the show still communicates that.. but in diff ways.

or how the author went to great lengths describing zero-g maneuvers, low-g environments, or how the thrust/acceleration of a ship created gravity on its own - only for the show to have everyone snap their magic magnet boots to make scenes easy to shoot. I can't truly fault them for it, but ehhh

other nitpicky things like how inter-solar travel took weeks even at fast accelerations were well described in the book and allowed for a lot of interpersonal drama to happen on ship before the major story beats took place. Not as exciting for a 10 episode season, so I get why they didn't.

The actors chosen for each person are pretty spot on (though, shamefully, I did start imagining Bobby Draper as Noi from dorohedoro and am stupidly disappointed now). The actor for Amos is, well I can't imagine him as anyone else. He even does the cold, vacant smile right. And Miller, boy oh boy.

the choices they made in s1 to alter the story a bit for easier viewing are fine. i don't hate it at all. Just interesting how they managed it.
