I'm sincerely glad that you are willing to learn. There is no sin in not knowing something, we all have to learn things sometime. The real problem is being unwilling to learn and change. I'm sorry people on the internet just go immediately to 100.

Typically, someone saying "correct me if I'm wrong" and then asking a question is looking to be educated, not just told they're wrong. Others have written great replies correcting/clarifying and it has opened up the floor for engagement, rather than shutting it down. Ignorance isn't a failure.

Especially young people we shouldn't be doing this to, I might add. It's fantastic people, including non-Americans, are open to being educated On Line and not just looking for people to confirm wrong beliefs.
