Not to quibble bc I do think you’re right overall, but even poll-reacting compels this reaction. Attacking Iran is just deeply unpopular, at least compared to historical analogues—and certainly within the Democratic Party. Schumer’s finger is glued to a pulse, but it’s AIPAC’s not the party base’s.
